Foil Technique and Supplies

Foils add shine and sparkle to projects. Craft foils are a shiny metallic material that pulls away from a clear backing. The technique requires a foil adhesive which is applied to any type of fabric, including knits; paper or other surfaces. When dry, an iron is used to bond the foil to fabrics and paper. Textures and shapes are created by using the adhesive with tools such as stamps, stencils, rubbing plates, found objects, and more. Here's a few examples:
