This is a great way to experiment with stencils and fabric paint. Once your
jacket is sewn, designs are easy to place. This jacket is done in periwinkle blue silk kimono fabric, and
highlighted with deep red bands on the sleeves. Various Asian stencils were
applied over the body of the jacket.
First, paint stencils onto a dark fabric. Then cut out each design and fuse onto the jacket using a fusible
web such as WonderUnder.
